Valour chat channels come with some fundamental downsides:

• Multiple conversations are often likely to happen in one channel, causing chat to move too quickly
• It is nearly impossible to index conversations into search engines, making them bad for Q&A's
• Can be often overwhelming for users who do not constantly read all messages to catch up on what is happening
• New users cannot stumble into communities on Valour easily through search engines

A solution which can address these issues would be adding classic style forums to Valour. They would be server side rendered to allow for easy indexing by search engines, and by default being viewable by guests on a seperate url to the main Valour app. Forums can also be viewed within the Valour application. Permissions would be closely integrated to allow for roles to be reused between chat channels and forums. It should also be possible to allow a planet to default to its forum instead of a chat channel.
