Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I was doing some debugging in amdgpu that required me to alter grub before booting into a kernel, so i enabled steamos-bootdebug menu to do this. I found that if I start my Steam Deck while docked to an external monitor and then undock it while that menu is still showing, the menu disappears and does not appear on the internal panel, and does not reappear after docking the unit again. The only fix is to blindly navigate the menu or reboot.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
While docked (seems to happen with both 1 and 2 monitors connceted):
Enable steamos-bootdebug menu
Reboot
Undock the Steam Deck once the boot menu starts showing
You should lose the menu at this point.

thanks, this seems pretty close to what I'm seeing: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?66231 except I don't really think my grub freezes, so I'll read over the bug report process there and see how best to handle reporting my own issue.
actually it seems to happen with both the steamos-efi menu chainloader thats leads into the grub menu, or with grub alone if you undock it while in grub. so probably a two-fold report, steamos-efi I'm not sure which tracker to use while grub I will report separately.
