I am unsure about what I need to do to find out how to add this since I don't see any readme, but I'd be happy to provide the right information if someone can tell me what to run.

I am on Fedora Silverblue 35.

Hello @alvarlagerlof, my understanding is that the udev rules in this repo are to help Steam Input (a subsystem of Steam that allows for gamepad input remapping) and for VR equipment to have the hardware access it needs to work properly. As far as I know, support for steering wheels has not been implemented, so individual games need to handle input from wheels themselves, or via a middleware library like SDL or Proton.

Steam not detecting steering wheels should not be an indicator that it won't work in all games,

Okay, then maybe this is the wrong place. I don't know where to go really. I have these two games that I run in Proton, where the wheel does not work or show up. They both support the wheel in windows. Is there a better repo to make an issue?

Issues with games run with Proton are being tracked in compatibility reports on the Proton issue tracker, with one issue report per unofficially supported game title. Feel free to do a search for the affected games and add a note to the game's compatibility report.

If systemd/systemd#22681 makes progress, then that might be a way to resolve this more generally than just for Steam Input.
