Crashes on Unity 5.6 and beyond

Hi there,

It seems a great project and I am very interesting in it for my postgraduate report. However, it seems that is not compatible with Unity Editor versions 5.6 or 2017.3. It always crashes when click on the "Run" scene button no matter what platform I have selected (PC or Android or iOS). I can see the Web cam light on for a while but then Unity crashes and it is switched off again. I am not very familiar with Unity dump and log system so it is not easy for me to determine the cause of the error. If you have any feedback it would be much appreciated.
