We should make sure we are following core coding styles. From the top of my head...

Switch from short arrays
Hook names
Possibly namespaces

It'd be good to chat with @jrfnl about her thoughts on Core adopting namespaces. We might not need to drop them.

Assigning to @spacedmonkey because he expressed interest in doing this during our #core-restapi meeting.
