ContentInset to ScrollView / CollectionView / Calendar?

Hello,

I have the same question as this one.

I need to add some extra left and right padding to my Calendar by writing the following:

self.calendar.collectionView.contentInset = UIEdgeInsets(top: 0.0, left: 16.0, bottom: 0.0, right: 16.0)

But it doesn't take any effect. Please, help me, it's crucial for me to have horizontal insets by design.
