v2.3.2 beta is out! It's our second bug fix release and could be considered as a release candidate.

It's better than v2.2 in a lot of cases ;) minus the bugs from all previous v2.3 betas^^

Following bugs / regressions were fixed (most of them regressions sadly):

  • ! fixed clock restart on explorer restart / crash
  • ! fixed possible infinite loop while searching for clock window on startup
  • ! fixed clock size issue after weekday change (eg. from Monday to Tuesday, bug since v2.2)
  • ! improper time in T-Clock's alarm setup dialog, related to 24h format
  • ! fixed alarm notify dialog blocking sound playback and thus isn't played at all until dialog closes.
  • ! fixed alarm "repeat" setting. It now really repeats so a value of "1" will play the sound once + one repeat. (not a regression, Yay!)
  • ! fixed tooltip position on multi-monitor setup. (not a regression but a bug, sad)
  • ! fixed forced "Vista" settings for XP. The clock's border is properly set to zero on XP now. Based on OS independent detection. (thus might fix other cases such as a new OS', HighDPI, etc.)
  • ! fixed "PM symbol:" static control on format settings dialog being cut-off on HighDPI setup and other situations.

Additionally following features added or improved:

  • + [alarm] one-time alarms are now possible
  • * [alarm] improved usability and reduced memory usage (about 60%)
  • + [alarm] new sound chooser, also set "Alarm.wav" as default sound for new alarms as well as a message box + blinking clock
  • + [alarm] added default text to notify dialogs. Will now print weekday + time of expire if left empty
  • * [alarm] closing the notify window will now stop the alarm sound as well as blinking clock (if any)
  • * [alarm] sound paths are now relative for user convenience (also helps with a portable setup)
  • * updated Alarm.wav and SOS.pcb to better support the repeat feature. They now repeat nicely and ain't weird no more
  • + [format] uptime format (ST,Sh,Sn,Ss) now exceeds the old 49.7 day limit on Vista+ and thus works to the "infinity"
  • + [stopwatch] now remembers window size on close
  • * [format] 12h format now uses "h" instead of "hh" by default. Also improved locale default setup. So if your region is using 12h format, you'll get it on default setup. Likewise you'll get 24h format if that's what your current locale uses
  • and other improvements

this version is still beta but it could be considered release candidate

don't use, known major bugs (alarms not working and other stuff)

v2.3.1 is out! (now also with static builds)

This is a small bugfix release, changes include:

  • * HighDPI is now minimally supported (should work... without blurry options, etc.)
  • * T-Clock's binary files are now self-signed. I'm trying out what happens if I self-sign them, lets see if the SmartScreen gets even worse... or maybe better? :-P
  • ! Clock: context menu didn't always work on multi-monitor setup. Such as on monitors on the left or top side of primary monitor.
  • ! Stopwatch: keyboard input could bug if "Reset" was clicked and then disabled. User had to manually focus another control get it work again.
  • * Timers: improved Watch List dialog's time remaining format

Thank you all for your welcome feedback ;-) (not only on DonationCoder forums, but also via mail)
And a special salute to Thomas (the Tank Engine)

v2.3 beta is out! It includes an improved file structure for easier use among other things

Update notice regarding changed file structure:

  1. exit T-Clock
  2. from your previous installation, delete "Win32" and "x64" folders
  3. extract new version
  4. you can now either start "Clock" or "Clock64", doesn't matter (on 64bit OS) And
if you had autostart enabled, this version will automatically update its path.

Compared to previous beta, following bug fixes and feature improvements:

  • +*! Generally: file structure simplified. You can now start the 32bit version and it'll switch to the 64bit version as needed without getting you stuck
  • + Clock: right mouse button can now be customized, context menu is default but can be changed
  • + Multiple Monitors: finalized support. Now everything should work on your second or third clock as it should on your first. Such as drag&drop, options, calendar and more (exception being Windows default tooltip)
  • + Options: live-preview support extended to format options (like previous version enabled it for text options. Now it's previewed for all clock display related settings)
  • + Clock: drag&drop support redone, it now gives more feedback and generally works better.
  • + Generally: added support for autohide taskbars
  • + Alarm: message window options improved, "bounce" option is now disabled by default and easier to enable/disable, also added topmost option
  • +! Stopwatch: lot's of improvements and usability fixes (Hotkeys, Export, sizable dialog, time issues)
  • + Options: additional bold text style option (bold got three states now: normal, bold, semi-bold)
  • ! Calendar: fixed custom calendar issues on XP and below, as well as calendar not displaying in some cases
  • ! Alarm: fixed message window not showing up on taskbar
  • ! Clock: fixed clock size issues on startup
  • ! Locale: fixed locale support for clock format such as to use 24h format if your locale uses it, otherwise 12h
  • ! Options: fixed font smoothing
  • ! Options: fixed "Apply" being enabled without user caused changes
  • * Clock: default settings were tweaked, it now makes better use of users locale and should look more "native"
  • * Clock: you "can" now kill "Clock.exe" and explorer will not crash, and the clock won't exit (without context menu though, requires to restart Clock.exe)
  • ! Clock: if clock is started with admin rights but explorer isn't, clock couldn't be controlled, now it can ;)
  • ! fixed not correctly working OS detection from previous beta
  • and other

this version is yet again beta, and some changes might cause new unforeseen crashes or other issues

2-2
This one is again quite a large update:

  • T-Clock now supports live-preview of clock text related changes, (not clock format, but text, etc.)
  • Timer and Alarm context menu added/improved,
  • Quicky Menu options restructured,
  • Vista+ related changes and fixes, (such as now fully opaque clock text including working colors^^)
  • better default colors and text as well as more color options,
  • T-Clock can now again use it's own color as a background,
  • multi-monitor clock, (get a T-Clock on each additional Taskbar on Win8+)
  • clock text is not positioned in the middle by default, (no longer manually adjusting the text to fit, now also updating as the taskbar moves or resizes)
  • clock text can be freely rotated,
  • better taskbar integration,
  • and probably one or two more things :P (such as some serious fixes, and other improvements)
  • the in-build calendar also got some changes... In case you're using it, mostly related to XP but the auto hide feature got also partially removed as it's not working all the time

Because of all these changes, I call this version "beta". Though it should be stable.. at least as far as I've tested it :P Not entirely sure about memory usage... hope there are no leaks.

And you'll face an annoying dialog on first start.. some things had to be changed and the dialog should inform you about possible downsides ;) (though you shouldn't need to downgrade anyway, but just in case the "nice" little warning :P)

Properties window will be on top while having focus (same for Stopwatch)
Improved Stopwatch (stop really stops/pauses and redesigned dialog)
Improved custom Calendar (can now show past X months on opening)
Improved context menu with Windows Vista+ like spelling and options (also try to hold down CTRL or SHIFT while opening ;P)

T-Clock v2.0.2 Pre-release
Pre-release

my first release considered stable... but includes some bugs such as you won't be able to add a "Copy to Clipboard" mouse click action... and 4th mouse button won't work as well^^

otherwise minor fixes compared to Stoic Joker's T-Clock.
Includes the "Wi" formating option for proper ISO-8601 week number support
Mouse button 4 and 5 support (actually only 5 as I've found out later)
