Hi @afercia, thank you for reporting this issue. I did some tests and tried to replicate this behavior but I was not able to get the pingback. Could you confirm if the problem is still happening? |
Hi @jorgefilipecosta just reproduced following the steps above and got a new pingback. Standard VVV environment here. |
Thank you for your tests @afercia, I had troubles initially reproducing the problem not sure why, but I "refreshed" my dev environment and I manage to reproduce the described behavior. |
@jorgefilipecosta seems you're right, happens also with G. disabled and linking to a post in the classic editor. Weird I didn't know WordPress allows for auto-pings... |
Thank you for confirming @afercia my tests, given that it is an existing behavior in Core/classic editor I will close the issue for now. |
