  • Remove Device class
  • Make sure we use the controller abstraction classes
  • Add happi mongo backend discovery (todo later)
  • Make sure Device settings plugin has updated view
  • Remove old Device settings plugin
  • Display connection state on each of the items in the tree view (use checkstate with custom styling)
  • red: completely failed to instatiate device; yellow for good instance, bad connect; green for all good
  • autoconnect all devices
  • show issues to user (not just terminal logging)
  • be able to reload the configuration files
