When you pause a game and try to close it, it says: "Would you really like to close the suspended application? All unsaved data will be lost." In the normal switch home menu, some games don't always show the all unsaved data will be lost message (for example if you currently aren't in a level). But uLaunch always shows the unsaved data will be lost message, no matter what.

This is an interesting point, I'm not even sure how official HOME menu distinguishes between games which have "unsaved data" and which haven't (I didn't even know there were different dialogs), it's just a generic warning message shown in all games in uLaunch
The game can change at any time if this message is displayed or not, but I don't know if the home menu sends a request to the game if it should be displayed or if the game sends an info to the home menu when you press home.
Edit: I am not actually sure if the game can change it at any time or not
