ColorPresentation not showing the label

When hovering over color presentations (in json document with the extension enabled or just a color presentation in a css file), VSCode changed its behavior to not show the text label in the header by default.

Clicking the header section will make the color presentation label show the label but will cause an spurious "edit" of the document, meaning that VSCode will consider the file to be edited which isn't.
