Running tinc on gateway?

Hello all,

I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried running tinc on their router (not the VPS) to establish a simple VPN connection? Does anyone see any harm in adding this? tinc let's you set the device to use, in my case I would probably use a physical eth1 interface.
