Restore synapse installation on a hacker way

I have a synapse backup file done by the yh webinterface but the regular restore process does not work out of some reasons. I also have a extra copy of the DB and all other files of my old installation -

The plan is now to do a fresh synapse installation - make a back up of this installation... substitute files with my old backup files and create a combined new backup... delete the new fresh installation and install this combined new backup

Are there specific files besides in the db which are needed to restore an installation?
e.g. what kind of files are stored in /home/yunohost.app/matrix-synapse ? are they needed?

Hello,

The DB and the file in /home/yunohost.app/matrix-synapse should be enough. Note that if you do a core only backup the file in /home/yunohost.app/matrix-synapse are not managed by the backup.

OK the restore did work - synapse 1.31.0 is running with my old database from 1.23.--- but now i have problems which are described here:
