[FEAT.] : Support Steam installed via flatpak #814
Comments
@salva09 Can you send your BSManager logs, what version of BSManager, and what distro are you using. |
This are the logs when I try to run an instance of beat saber, I was using BSManager 1.5.2 in opensuse aeon, I have the same results on fedora silverblue
|
@salva09 can you try running the rpm build if you get the same issue. |
Problem
Right now the BSManager flatpak only supports Steam installed via the native package manager, it would be great if it could support Steam flatpak, especially for immutable systems where the main method of installing apps is via flatpak
Solution
Add necessary permissions in the BSManager flatpak manifest to detect proton in the steam flatpak directory, and even trying to add those permissions via flatseal, trying to launch a game results in a crash after the Beat Saber logo
