When using Jellyfin to stream media, external subtitles over the network don't get loaded by mpvKt. It works in mpv-android.

A related Jellyfin issue is here or the VLC issue, if you want to see what's required for this feature ("network streams/ HTTP URIs inside "subtitles_location" intent"). As mentioned, mpv-android supports this.

Same here. Can't load external subtitles from Jellyfin.
