Mods client:

  • Arma 3: 2.18.152302 [stable]
  • CBA: 3.18.1 [stable]
  • ACE3: 3.18.1 [stable]

Mods server:

  • Arma 3: 2.18.152302 [stable]
  • CBA: 3.18.1.241014 [stable]
  • ACE3: 3.18.1.91 [stable]

Description:
If the ace_frag_reflectionsEnabled parameter is active and you use a static weapon GMG (Hunter GMG/40 mm higher) there will be massive FPS drops on the server. The FPS drops can be from 40 to 0 FPS and hang on the server for 30 - 40 secs if you fire a complete magazine.
Import thing is that the client fps of players on the server dont get effect from this. (test it with ~16 players)
I test a little around and it seems to be the effect is with 40 mm up static weapon most. The Vanilla Hunter has a drop from around 20-30 FPS. If you use RHS or BW Mod, this GMG's (40 mm, GMW) has much more effects on the server (30-40 FPS drops).

Steps to reproduce:

  1. set the CBA setting ace_frag_reflectionsEnabled on your server to enable
  2. place a Hunter GMG on Altis
  3. enable #monitor 0.5 for fps tracking on server
  4. fire one or more mags of the gmg
  5. you can now enable or disable the setting and see the differents

Note:

  • if you have a good server, i recomment to place 300-400 ai near by to have lower FPS to better track the FPS drop (if server is on 40 you can see it better)
  • with RHS or BW Mod static GMG the FPS drop is much more happen
  • there are no errors in the RPT file at this period of testing

Expected behavior:
No massiv FPS drop, when i shoot the gmg, like if I disable the parameter.

Where did the issue occur?

  • Dedicated
  • ace_frag_reflectionsEnabled
