As of today I find I cannot use Video Downloader in Firefox, because it needs the companion add-on app to be installed, and the current downloads for it require newer systems. Has 10.11 been abandoned now? My machine is not able to run newer versions of mac os (due to apple's weird EFI issues) and cannot be updated. I tried manually reverting to the older versions of both the companion app and the firefox extension, but have had no success.

What about version 2.x of the coapp supporting macOS 10.13 High Sierra?
The .pkg installers give an error during install and the coapp from the .dmg's is not recognized by the browser extension in Firefox 115.8esr.
