Summary

The current 2024-Changes branch has lots of file changes with little to no documentation. This makes it hard to understand where some of the issues are coming from and how to fix them.

Motivation

This will help us better understand the changes made in the 2024 branch. We will keep the changes that benefit Abacus and discard what doesn't.
