It's nice to see the adafruit fork getting updated. I entered this as an issue in the raspberry pi Linux tree.
The edt-ft5x06 touch drivers need to be enabled as a module in order to use the pitft 2.8 touchscreen.
Or, you know, you can just pull the latest.
I guess, I'm kind of wanting to know, are you going to actively pull again?
