Affected Area

Legacy AAT - CKEditor
(I have not tested this in the latest instance)

Requested Feature

Allow the html < button > tag to be used in the source CKEditor.

Use Case

We use these buttons for various means. Opening a resource, opening a link, completing a course by 'acknowledging' that a learner has read something. Typically, we build a custom Adapt plug-in for this purpose but an alternative route needs to be found in the AAT.

Current Workaround

If you create a button element in source and simply save and publish the course, the button appears in the course!
BUT
If you attempt to edit that button or toggle between the 'source' and 'editor', the button element will be stripped out.

Additional Information

Based upon the current workaround, it appears as though the button element is able to be used, but is disallowed.
