can't turn android mobile screen off

Hi,I want use this screensaver to turn my phone screen off when using kodi for Airplay. I tested all options only DPMS(built-in) worked, but that make kodi quit immediately(just as press Android Home button). When using CEC on Android(kernel), I got a permission error "can't create /kernel/...".
My phone is totally rooted with Magisk.

Here is my device info:
Model: Redmi Note5(whyred).
OS: Android 9.0(kernel: Linux 4.4.195-Illusion-v5.8-Pi...)
CPU: AArch64 Processor rev 2
GPU: Adreno (TM) 512
OpenGL vendor: Qualcomm
OpenGL version: OPenGL ES 3.2 V@331.0

If none of the existing methods work, I cannot help. I am open to add new methods if we have a working solution for your environment.
