When you hit Ctrl+C (or Ctrl+X) with nothing selected, and paste that copied (or cut) line elsewhere, it gets inserted as a new line regardless of the cursor position.
But when you select that line from the history, it gets inserted at the current cursor position, like it would happen when you don't include the newline of the copied source line.
I would expect code that has been copied as a whole line to be pasted as a whole line as well.
The issue seems to occur on the moment you press Ctrl+C (or Ctrl+X), which apparently does not include the new line character in the history.
