Instead of assuming the date is formatted as dd/mm/yyyy and forcing the months and days to switch if "month">12. If would be better if you used the date format provided in the XML returned by filemaker in FMData date handling section.

While I agree with you on this topic, have you ever seen this formatting change in the output from FileMaker? We wrote some of this code back in 2002-2005, IIRC at that time it was always the same, regardless of local system settings.
