This week marked a significant step towards strengthening our Darker community, with the virtual meetup initiative taking center stage. Our project lead's proposal for online gatherings (#60) received enthusiastic responses from contributors across various time zones. The community's eagerness to connect demonstrates our shared commitment to fostering collaboration and building relationships beyond code contributions.
We made progress in organizing these meetups, with @akaihola scheduling two initial sessions to accommodate different time zones. While the first meeting didn't gather participants, the second one successfully brought together @CircleOnCircles, @Mystic-Mirage, and @Carreau for a productive conversation. This positive start sets the foundation for future meetups, allowing more contributors to join and strengthen our community bonds.
On the technical front, we addressed some user-reported issues. A problem with parsing files beginning with specific pylint comments was identified (#63), highlighting our ongoing efforts to improve Darker's compatibility with various coding styles. Additionally, a suggestion for selecting all file changes since a revision was discussed (#64), with clarification provided on how the existing

argument can be used to achieve similar functionality. These discussions underscore our commitment to enhancing Darker's usability and addressing user needs.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
