EDIT > That issue is related to the #23 issue, sorry about the spam

Environent

Operating system: Ubuntu 15.10,
Desktop environment: Gnome Shell
Qt version: 5.4.2
Albert version: 0.8.6
Source: ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

Steps to reproduce

First Launch, 2 days ago from now, quite everytime I launch Albert from the interface, it asks for a new shortcut.

It runs a new instance of Albert everytime. That's I think the first problem. The second one is that every running instance has it's own shortcut. For exemple, right now, with two instances, I can access Albert with alt+j and alt+space.

Expected behaviour

One shortcut once and for all. One deamon, calling Albert using command line or interface should give access to parameters. The shortcut should be marked as set if it is for one instance.

That part is still relevent I think

And, some other unexpected behavior I found at the first run, I wanted to use alt+r as a shortcut, I click on the box in order to set the shortcut, with the alt+r is catched as a shortcut to check the 'show scrollbar' box.

Appart of that it's a really great tool !
As soon as i've got a little time ahead, i'll try to compile the sources

Perhaps these are issues already solved, sorry about this one then.
Hope it'll help

The idea of albert is to be fast by using offline indizes (which need some time to build, not to long but, far longer than your wished max 50ms perceivable response delay) to answer your queries. Just autostart albert with your desktop environment and dont care about anything else.

Thanks for the hint on alt+r. I guess I will remove the mnemonics completely.
