Old settings + saving preferences

A question and a feedback/request here.

Since Spek 0.8.5 added some more customizations to the spectrogram, I was wondering what settings old Spek 0.8.2 was using. For example 0.8.5 can switch between channel 1 and 2. Previously 0.8.2 only showed one. Which one? Or did it combine the two? Same about the window function, which one was used in 0.8.2? And what was the DFT window size in 0.8.2? I'm asking this because I'd like to see if I can configure 0.8.5 to show the exact same spectrogram as 0.8.2. No matter what setting I use, the spectrogram is slightly different. I guess it's not possible to get the exact same display between the versions ?

Since there are many more settings that can be customized now, it would really be nice if Spek remembered them now (including window size).
