As there seems to be no ticket created for it before, I would like to raise the need to solve the main issue with the tags feature : the fact that a tag is only intelligible for people who know the language used to create it.A solution would be to have this tags "multilingual". Here is my suggest to handle it :- In a database, for each "tag", we would have several "versions". In order to be "language-neutral", there would be no "main" language. A tag would be a "concept", an "idea" that should be named for each language.- The attached PNG file sum up how the user can deal with the feature :1) When the user displays a sentence, we still have the list of associated "tags". A "tag" with a "star" would means that the tags is display with a content which is not translated for the environment language.2) Clicking on the star would display a dialog box that would enable him (if he has the rights) to add translations for the tag. The first part concerns his environment language only, while the below one add the possibility to check the translations provided for other languages. As a remind, the popup display the original version of the tag (even if there is no "main" version, we can use the tag creation date).3) Validating and the star disappear to display the newly translated tag. There are several issues and difficulties to take account of about the suggested solution :- Usability : I don't know if the "star" button is quite accessible- Existing data : lots of efforts have to be made to fill the database with the actual tags previously addedAny opinions or alternative suggestions would be highly welcomed :)
