Is it possible to show new coming podcast episodes on one page? It would be nice to see new episodes of all subscribed content at the same time. Another suggestion is It would be nice to be able to change which page the splash screen will be in settings.
Thank you!

Meanwhile this is (or not) implemented, a step would be to be able to choose to order the Podcast screen, AZ (like now) or "Recent" (by las episode published) in order to know what podcasts have new episodes.

@Marzal,

I do plan to add sorting to the library view; however, for it to be really useful, Anytime needs to support background updating. Currently, episodes are fetched when you open a podcast in your library.

Background updating is what I am currently looking in to.

Thanks, great work. Now that you are on F-Droid if you need a beta-tester, happy to help.

Thanks @Marzal, I appreciate that.

Am I right in thinking F-Droid does not have a Beta channel? Would I need to upload a Beta release here for you to test it?

Thanks.

There is 2 ways (that I know) to have beta releases on F-droid:

  • A self-hosted F-Droid repo, where you can upload betas or normal version. Beta-testers / users need to add this repo to F-Droid app. This is the route that Podverse took, because it gives you a fastest way to try things.

  • Manually add (MR) the beta versions to the F-droid repo. Users will still have the stable release but the option to manually update to the beta. Or users can configure F-Droid to auto-update betas.
    In this second option you add the new version (- versionName ...) but the CurrentVersion and CurrentVersionCode at the end of the file doesn't change. This is what Aurora Stores uses as example . If you want to promote a beta version without uploading a new versión you just have to point CurrentVersion and CurrentVersionCode to the corresponding versions (example)

But if this is too much work right know, I don't mind taking an APK from Github/Gitlab and testing it.

Thanks for that info @Marzal - now I understand the use of CurrentVersion and CurrentVersionCode. Perfect!
