Currently on the Vendor Central page you can update the availability for Catalog items -- set availability to one of:
Available
Temporarily unavailable
Permanently unavailable
plus add the dates for those values. This can be achieved in bulk using an Excel file that you download from VC, modify and re-upload, but it's a tedious process.
Theoretically similar goals can be achieved via COSTINV edi message, but it requires specific quantities (not just "available / unavailable") and it contains no dates.
It would be great to be able to send the availability info through SP-API, in bulk, for all of some of your catalog items.
