I until today I used the launcher version 3.11.0 without issue and attempted to download the newest version 3.13.0.
If trying to launch it nothing happens, starting from console reveals the following error:
./anime-game-launcher: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I also checked other newer versions, but all versions after 3.11.0 seem to be affected, namely: 3.12.0, 3.12.1, 3.13.0
Workaround:
Upon checking /usr/lib64 I only found the following libbz2's:
I was able to circumvent the issue by creating a symlink in lib64 (libbz2.so.1.0 -> libbz2.so.1), I would however prefer a fix for the launcher, so others with the same problem, do not have to interfere with the lib64 folder, as non Linux-savvy users might cause problems for themselves down the road with this.
OS: Fedora KDE 41 (patched per 2024-11-24)
Thanks in advance
