Since Anki has its own buttons for creating nested lists (via the insert list and indent buttons), introduced in version 2.1.45 I believe, this bug from glutanimate/mini-format-pack equally applies here. It creates problems when trying to export Anki notes and use them with tools like anki-editor and org-anki. I found one mention of this issue in the forums but no solution (other than to not use the buttons).

That seems to be the behavior of the browser built-in execCommand. Once again, I'm dumbfounded by how the browser's built-in tools are so faulty.
Unfortunately, implementing the algorithm ourselves will take quite a bit of work, and at the moment there are enough other things to improve. So while I'll keep it in mind, I don't think I'll tackle it anytime soon.
