Is your feature request related to a problem or challenge? Please describe what you are trying to do.

We have various CLI tools under the parquet crate, currently these have fairly limited integration testing.

Describe the solution you'd like

Some sort of basic test harness that runs the binaries, or possibly the internal logic, against some test files and verifies the output is as expected.
