It could be called Apify.utils.puppeteer.extractMicrodata and look something like this: https://kb.apify.com/tips-and-tricks/scraping-data-from-websites-using-schemaorg-microdata

but ideally, it wouldn't use jQuery.

There are some npm packages, which can handle it. e.g https://www.npmjs.com/package/microdata-node.

Inspiration might be @gippy's https://github.com/apifytech/act-page-analyzer implementation

Hi @RajathKP and thanks for your interest in contributing to Crawlee! First, we don't assign community contributors to issues, but feel free to open a PR that links to this issue. Second, this issue is very old. You'd need to come up with a better location for the function because Apify.utils no longer exists 🙂

Apify.utils is nowadays @crawlee/utils package basically, I guess it could end up there.
