ReactNativeFile alternative if not using ReactNative

Hi,

It seems that the File API is not available in NativeScript (using it with a Vue app), which makes uploading files difficult since there is no 'File' ( [ReferenceError: File is not defined] )
Is there an alternative work around? (In the meantime I think I'll do a base64 encoding, but that's not ideal).
