Unfortunately, Git is GPL licensed code. It's still not clear wether this license is compatible with Apple's App Store, so this would need to be cleared before considering adding git support to Vim/iOS.

Who ever links to original git and not libgit2?
objective-git is the binding.

It's under a permissive license
