How might we frame this up as a list of things companies should do to be "good consumers" of open source?
We want it to be a list of practices that organizations can measure themselves against and say they adhere to.
@KadeMorton has tried to have conversations with Mozilla and GitHub in the past about creating something like this, but I didn't hear back from them. They interacted with the author of the Approachable Open Source book on LinkedIn. He may have some ideas about this, would have a lot of contacts, and seems pretty accessible to reach out to.
Here's a short list of steps I made to get started
Create a project brief - Google document
Draft list
Initial Research
identify potential partners
Reach out to partners
Solidify lists with partners
Publish list
There should be a way to highlight folks doing well.
Any resources of similar lists or score cards for research purposes are appreciated.
