Hello everyone,

My name is Yury Zykov and I am 4th-year Systems Engineering Student at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). I do have co-op experience as a Radiology software engineer (C++, C#, C, Objective-C) at Change Healthcare. Also, I do have personal projects with Arduino & Python.

As a part of my education, I got familiar with Embedded & RTO Systems, Digital system design, Feedback systems, Microelectronics and etc. I do have class-related projects with FPGA (Altera/ZedBoard), VHDL (with Quartuz and ModelSim). As well as Assembly programming.

I have participated in the following discussions:

  1. Ctrl-shift-U does not work work when editor is focused
  2. "compile --build-path" does not work for relative paths
  3. [Preferences] Button problem in Preferences

And created the following PRs:

  1. #9947
  2. #9948
  3. #9895

Sorry for such late write-up and participation in general. I had no idea that such a great opportunity to learn exists. GSoC 2020 with Arduino would be an amazing opportunity for me to get wide development & debugging experience in microprocessor & controller programming.

Thank you for consideration,
Yury Zykov
