We often get asked for a list of issues that new contributors can select from to get involved, but there's currently no good way to aggregate that list. Create a page/module that curates a set of issues geared towards new contributors.

The GitHub issue tracker falls short on giving us a consolidated view. The closest is probably https://github.com/search?q=user%3AAsciidoctor&state=open&type=Issues, but that still falls short of being a useful TODO list.

One thing that would help with this issue is to use consistent labeling across repositories for "starter" issues. We've discussed this before, but now we have a really good reason aligning.

We may also want additional categories:

  • hackergarten
  • summer-project
  • next (aka up next)
  • any others?
