Hi,
It would be great if user can use his book in Jerry. Also, it would be great if user can change move format from e2e4 to e4 in the book.

yup, that's an obvious extension.
Note that as a temporary workaround, you can use https://github.com/asdfjkl/bookmaker to create your own opening book from a pgn file, and then replace 'extbook.bin' with your own.
