Just wanted to show some interest for this being implemented. We have been using the FITS visualizer in ASCOT to display rectangular slices of images, and it would be very handy if the viewport could be set to the same aspect ratio as the images.

We are using some of the code from a very early version of Luminosity to display FITS data with WebGL (which is very similar to WebFITS). We haven't gotten around to implementing the WebFITS library, but if a feature like this was implemented we would have good reason to.
