Reason/Context

In order to understand what is working and what is not working as far as the UI of the current tooling (I think the only one that has UI right now is AsyncAPI Studio), auditing all of the current design patterns and visual styles might help us to define the problems that are present in the current UI and help us to define a new design system.

The findings of this audit will help us to start working on the smaller components of 1 of 3 design systems needed for the initiative. This design system will be for Tooling until we decide on a better name for this design system as well as its parent system and sisters.

How will this audit be carried out?

The audit will be completed in figma by re-creating the components from the UI and sorting the components based on usage. From there, we should be able to define inconsistencies as well as noting any design patterns that exist currently.

There can be many reasons why some specific issue has no activity. The most probable cause is lack of time, not lack of interest. AsyncAPI Initiative is a Linux Foundation project not owned by a single for-profit company. It is a community-driven initiative ruled under open governance model.
