With Yeoman being rewritten at the moment, lets hold off on moving to it until 2013.

Aw, aura looks quite interesting, I could use it as a default...

@addyosmani I am curious... what is the status of yeoman's rewrite ?

Is there a roadmap or an explanation of where it's headed and the reasons of the rewrite ?

@sbellity You might find the roadmap of help https://github.com/yeoman/yeoman/wiki/Goals-and-Roadmap :)

The status of Yeoman's rewrite is that @sindresorhus has been driving the implementation of this and I believe should be finished sometime before mid-January. Some of the core reasons for rewriting were better flexibility with Grunt, more modularity (so developers can pick and choose what they want to use) and improvements to features like our Generators.

I would say we should be in a good position to start implementing a Yeoman generator for Aura after the upcoming release has been made.

Any news on the Yeoman integration? I've been teaching a designer friend frontend using yeoman and I've been looking to build a project together with aura. Anywhere could help?
