cordova-plugin-safariviewcontroller conflicts with phonegap-plugin-push and Android stop receiving notifications

After installing cordova-plugin-safariviewcontroller my android app stopped receiving push notifications.
As you can see open issues in both repositories:
EddyVerbruggen/cordova-plugin-safariviewcontroller#84
phonegap/phonegap-plugin-push#1800

I cannot find replacements for any of those plugins....
Any help or idea on how can I move forward from here?
