How to specify a physical Xilinx Device when testing locally

Hello there, according to ffsetup.sh, the Xilinx device selection is handled by the variable:

export XLNX_TARGET_DEVICE=xilinx:xilinx:aws-vu9p-f1:4ddr-xpr-2pr:4.0
When testing on a physical board, such as the Xilinx Zynq - based platforms that share a similar VCU block, how would I pass the variable above, considering that ffmpeg would be running on the linux installation on the board configured via petalinux?
