Summary

• Development notes on the gutenberge everywhere modification for github compatibility
• Currently the block checking mechanism it not working well with github comment < ! - - ... - - >, as it expect to turn these into block, we may need to improve the checking with < ! - - wp ?
  • Copied the markdown here into the attached editor to see the issue

Notes

• Save: using turndown
• Load: using markdown-it
• State of save: turndown did not support table out of box, we need to use some gfm plugin to support tables
  • Please mention that the plugin is not maintained mixmark-io/turndown-plugin-gfm#28

  • All those plugins is intended for node env, so I made a dirty es module from there

  • Need to update the block detection
• State of code block
  • The 3 backticks are ignored
• State of table block
  • Colon is ignore in the parser

  • Got trouble with userDataDir, it display the Application Support as separate words ?!
  • nit: userDataDir creates the dir inside the root folder
