Clearly this does exist: https://www.tablesgenerator.com/markdown_tables

  • But I think we can do better wrt coding focussed tables e.g. allow per column align, allow markup in columns or rows (back-ticks, emph, bold etc)

  • Somewhat related (maybe should be a different ticket): Enter a list of URLs and automatically create markdown links by pulling the title from the url page, so this:
    https://tech.instacart.com/3-million-instacart-orders-open-sourced-d40d29ead6f2 is translated to a md link: [3 Million Instacart Orders, Open Sourced ](https://tech.instacart.com/3-million-instacart-orders-open-sourced-d40d29ead6f2)
