Instead of the pop up window that we get when opening help command in non-fullscreen, we get a full screen window

Team's Response

This does not hinder the user. This behaviour is due to the OS. Furthermore, we did not specify that it will be a pop up window (assuming you meant a non full screen window), rather that a window will pop up.

❓ Issue response

  • I disagree

Reason for disagreement: So my issue is that Opening help window while in full screen results in full screen window instead of pop up window

The UG says the following window will pop up.

It is safe to assume if someone tells me a window will pop up, it is supposed to pop up in the same page in the foreground and not shift me to another page with a completely expanded full screen window.

This is consistent with definitions of pop up windows according to google, wikipedia and GPT-4.

Expected behavioir:
help window pops up in the foreground of main window

Actual behaviour:
help window pops up in a completely different page and is full expanded

Therefore i think my bug is still valid.

Secondly

This does not hinder the user. This behaviour is due to the OS.

Their justification is wrong.

It completely hinders the user because

  1. the CMD + ` feature stated in their UG does not work
  2. The window does not have a minimize button to minimize it and go back to the app
  3. I have to manually exit and find the application all over again and repeat this rendering the app almost unusable for first time users who depend on the help guide and need to use the app in full screen
  4. I have included a video demonstration of what it actually does.
