Unable to start emacs w/prelude

I'm in trouble, I can't get my usual environment up and running anymore 😢

Expected behavior

Clean installation of emacs on MacOS - installed from https://emacsformacosx.com/builds (removing old incarnations of ~/.emacs.d):
Prelude installs without any problems, and emacs prelude starts up without any problems.

Actual behavior

When starting emacs, packages install, and I get the following kind of errors:

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1
2. No .emacs.d
3. Install 28.1-4, 28.2, 29.1-1, 29.4-1 or pretest-30.0.91 from https://emacsformacosx.com/builds
4. Start emacs - no problem - close emacs
5. Install prelude with: curl -L https://github.com/bbatsov/prelude/raw/master/utils/installer.sh | sh
6. Get numerous errors from package installation/initialization
7. Close emacs, in hope the errors was a one-time thing
8. Open emacs - errors persist
