I have forgotten my password and was browsing BBJ anonymously.
There was one thread where I wrote a long reply. When posting it asked me to sign in. I tried to guess my password a few more times, but I had to give up. The only way out was closing with ctrl-C, after which my reply was lost

Afer re-typing the long reply again I tried to post anonymously, but this time BBJ quit with a warning that posting anonymously is disabled on this instance and my reply was lost again.

Thanks for the report, I will look into this. Sorry you lost a lot of text =(

as for losing your password, if you are on tilde.town, I am one of the bbj admins there so I can reset your password if you want.

I did some changes to the client now, if you're anonymous and the instance doesn't allow that, you can no longer compose a message. Im not closing this issue yet because I want to redo the whole login menu to give a better experience. It's been the way it is for like 8 years now but Im still not really happy with it tbh
