It may be a good idea to add some version checking to ensure the customer is using a supported version of PowerCLI and PowerShell before trying to use the module in earnest.

Also given the changes between SRM 5.5 and 5.8 we should check the version of SRM as well.

The function to retrieve the SRM server version is:

Get-SrmServerVersion
